Ordering a special order of brass type was a simple and excellent process from J Hewit. I emailed my order request and received a quote quickly with all the details explained on how to order using the special form on their site. My order of 3 kinds of special order brass type in Edinburgh font arrived 2 weeks earlier than expected, which was wonderful since I was on a deadline to meet my clients needs. The brass type shipped quickly and is beautifully made! I would purchase more type this way. Customer service from J Hewit’s was excellent!

These tools are a treasure.
These Lines are worked with mastery; as soon as the package is opened there is a wooden box that contains them.
Fully satisfied with the communication and availability of the company, with the courier transport, and with the cost of the instruments.

For over 24-years i have purchase leather from, Hewit and Son. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The leather has been top quality and the prices have been very competitive.

The products took a long time to arrive. Other providers are quicker. I had requested to add other items to the delayed shipping, but my request was ignored and unanswered.  Overall, a disappointing service this time, I'm afraid.
