Hewit products have never disappointed me once in the last thirty years. This dye is no exceptions. Colors (oops colours) wonderfully

5 of 5 Aniline leather dye April 5, 2022
Reviewer: Brian Hitchmough from Halfax, WEST YORKS United Kingdom
Absolutely superb. Fantastic pigment that has reintroduced the colour back in to my 27 year old bleached sofa. It also goes a long way, and I would recommend a time spent mixing different batch strengths to get it right.

4 of 5 Instructions not satisfactory November 1, 2021
Reviewer: Maureen G Jones from Chichester, WEST SUSSEX United Kingdom
I have not used this product yet, so cannot review its efficacy, but I have issues with the instructions. Why not put an instruction leaflet in the parcel? I downloaded the instructions from the website, and to a novice they are unhelpful: "To prepare a solution from the powder, a small quantity should be made into a paste with cold water, then boiling water added until the required dilution is obtained" . What is the required dilution? The website explains:  "As a rough approximation, 1/4 of 60ml of a the dye powder will make 500ml (1 pint) of liquid dye" . I am not a mathematician, but "1/4 of 60ml" suggests 15ml. Why not say so? I do not need 1 pint of the solution, as I want to restore quite a small area of leather. So far, I am baffled, although I found the customer experience excellent in every other way. I spoke to very helpful staff, and the products arrived very quickly. So I conclude "Good" on this product (without using it yet) but "Excellent" for sustomer relations.

I bought red before and this works just as well as the other. I'm pleased with both.

5 of 5 Strong Stuff July 22, 2021
Reviewer: Ivan Grange from Luton, BEDS United Kingdom
This water soluble aniline dye powder is strong stuff and needs to be handled carefully. It reminds me very much of Chrysoidine from the old days. The recommendation of a quarter of 150ml will make 5 ltrs. of dye, is a good yardstick to calculate by. Wear chemical gloves and work out of a draft. The product arrived very well, and thoughtfully, packaged and on time. I am very happy to recommend and buy from this company again.
