Marney's leather dressing March 7, 2019 Reviewer: Joep Schoemaker, life science historian from Goirle, Noord-Brabant Netherlands   Marvelous effect on dried-out book spines. Completely odorless, and easy to apply. The constitution of this mix of lanolin, neatsfoot oil and beeswax is like a blank, solid shoe cream of several years old. Thus, it is not likely you will apply too much on one spot. And even when you do, it leaves no dark stains. The gold printing on spines start shining immediately once you apply the dressing. Leather may strongly darken, depending on how dry it is. Marney's dressing revives all leather books to an astounding new state. Highly recommend. Was this review helpful to you?

Ask again in 20years! March 3, 2018 Reviewer: Martin Bates from Kingston upon Thames, SURREY United Kingdom   This dressing was recommended to me by a conservator / bookbinder, as being what she used. It looks as if it should be just the job - time will tell. Service from Hewit & sons was exemplary, the tub, beautifully packed, arrived within 24h of my placing the order - before the email telling me it had been dispatched. Don't knock Royal Mail!
