Description Instructions or Information

These grade III Chieftain Goats are aimed at the amateur market. The raw skins originate from India and the surrounding areas. The skins have a natural shrunken grain, similar to traditional Levant grain, with a natural polished finish. This leather is retanned with the addition of aluminium salts in order to produce an archival tannage with outstanding durability. The leather is aniline dyed and has a semi-transparent finish.

Please note that colours 3, 6, 9 and 15 are not dyed-through.

You can see examples of our Chieftain Goat on the following finished books: Of A Feather, Antarctica, Soul Traders, The Ryder Cup, Dragon Book, Carte Topographique de L'Egypte, Vita Nuova, Psalms and Trading Eights, The Faces of Jazz that are featured in the Showcase area of our web site.

Reviewer: Tadhg from Eire
The grade 3 skins have occasional slight surface blemishes as should be expected, but are excellent products otherwise, especially at this price point. Very soft and strong leather, archival tannage... Top marks!
