This novel and useful tool allows you to add a personal touch to photographs, slide mounts, storage boxes, albums, equipment, wallets, diaries, bags, school equipment, models, .....list is endless.
The Stylus is about the size of a ballpoint pen and operates on 24 volts from its own combined mains plug/transformer - there is no mains voltage on the lead. Just plug the transformer into a standard UK 220-240 volt socket and the silver writing tip heats in about 30 seconds to just the right temperature to activate the foil, so that you can write or mark on many surfaces: paper, card, leather, plastic and painted surfaces.
The handle of the Stylus is of unbreakable nylon and the cool plastic finger grip extends to within an inch of the writing tip for perfect control. The tool can be left plugged in indefinitely without harm and the tip will not even scorch paper.
The Stylus also has uses in schools, libraries, commerce and industry, for marking books, samples and small runs of plastic and fancy goods and correcting minor imperfections in hot-blocking work.
Specification:
- with UK style, 3-pin plug
- 220-240 volt
- operating temperature: 140ºC
Using the Print Wizard Stylus
Select the required tip. Plug the stylus into the mains. The plug incorporates a transformer giving only 24 volts output so that it is perfectly safe.
In about 30 seconds the stylus tip will be hot enough to use. Hold the foil in position over the area to be marked and apply the stylus tip to it, moving it fairly slowly as though drawing with a ball-pen. Only light pressure is required.
On surfaces which are resilient, or which soften at temperature, the width of marking depends upon pressure and can be varied. Marking of any size and shape may be made by rubbing the stylus evenly over the whole area. Designs and lettering may be applied with the aid of stencils and templates.
The stylus may be left running for any length of time without harm, and will not overheat or cause scorching. There are no parts likely to wear out in normal use and the tool should last almost indefinitely. However, in the event of damage or failure, please return the complete tool to us for repair.
